Butts Selected to American Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple junior Alliya Butts earned a selection to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for her performance in Temple's only game last week.
Butts led the Owls to a 73-59 victory over Fairfield on Thursday afternoon, tallying 26 points. The guard tied a career best with six threes, and in the process became Temple's all-time leader in the category. Butts also added a season-high five steals to go along with three assists in the win.
The Owls return to action on New Year's Day, heading to Memphis to open conference play against the Tigers.
