Brenda McDermott Named to BIG EAST Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK - After helping lead Temple lacrosse to a near-upset of #2 Florida last weekend in the Owls' BIG EAST opener, senior Brenda McDermott has been named to the conference's weekly honor roll.
McDermott helped Temple put the Gators on upset alert with two goals, two draw controls and an assist, as the Owls were narrowly edged by the defending BIG EAST champs 10-9 on Saturday in Gainesville. The senior attacker gave Temple its first lead of the game, 5-4, with 10 minutes left in the first half, and then provided the game-tying score with13:32 remaining.
Temple, at 8-3 overall, will look for its first league win on Saturday, April 9 when the Owls host Vanderbilt at 1 p.m.
