Men's Crew Closes Season at IRA National Championships

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. — The Temple men's crew team wrapped up an outstanding 2015-16 season with four finals races on the final day of the IRA National Championships. The three day event was held on Lake Mercer.
Temple raced in the grand finals in the freshman eight, the petite finals in the lightweight four, and lower level finals in both the varsity eight and the varsity four.
The Owls' freshman eight saw their first action of the weekend, posting a time of 6:24.1 to place sixth in the grand final. In the petite final for the lightweight four, Temple finished fourth, notching a time of 7:04.16.
In varsity four racing, Temple had its best finish, placing third in the fourth level final. The Owls finished in 6:69.150 to out-pace Yale, Milwaukee, and Drexel in the race.
Closing out their weekend, the Temple varsity eight finished sixth in the fourth-level final, recording a time of 6:20.24.
