Fountain Named to American Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple junior Donnaizha Fountain earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on January 23.

Fountain averaged 21.0 points per game, as Temple ran its win streak to 11 games with two conference victories. The guard shot 57.7% (15-26) from the field and 62.5% (5-8) from three, also averaging 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. Against Houston, Fountain led all scorers with 23 points, adding nine rebounds and three steals. In a win over Memphis, she again led all players in scoring, putting up 19 points and adding three boards.

The 15-3 Owls will look to take the Big 5 title outright on Wednesday, playing at Penn at 7:00 p.m.
