Golf Tied For 11th after Second Round at Kingsmill Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, VA – Redshirt sophomore John Barone shot an even-par 70 to lead Temple during second round play at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate. The Owls are tied for 11th with Old Dominion in the 22-team field at the three-day tournament held at the par-70, 6,778—yard, River Course at Kingsmill Resort.
Barone, who carded a 75 in the opening round, sits tied for 25th in the 117-golfer field with a five-over 145. Junior Mark Farley (77-75, 152) was next for the Owls, and tied for 35th overall at 12-over par. Sophomore Trey Wren (73-80, 153) and freshman Marty McGuckin (78-77, 153) were one-shot back and tied for 73rd. Redshirt freshman Erik Reisner (80-76, 154) rounding out the Temple quintet.
Penn State topped the field with a seven-over (567). Tennessee is three strokes back (570) in second place followed by Louisville (573), Eastern Kentucky (578), Marshall (581), Sam Houston State (582), Winthrop (586), Radford (588), William & Mary (595), Loyola-Md. (597) with Temple and ODU at (599).
Marshall's Clark Robinson, who shot a blistering four-under 66 on Monday, is three under-par and three shots ahead of Louisville's Nicholas Platret (even), who is alone in second place.
Play concludes with a final round Tuesday.
