Golf Places 13th at Kingsmill Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, VA – Redshirt freshman Erik Reisner carded a four-over 74 on the final day at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate to lead Temple Golf to a 13th place finish in the 22-team field at the three-day tournament held at the par-70, 6,778-yard, River Course at Kingsmill Resort.
Redshirt sophomore John Barone (75-70-77, 222) led the Owls for the tournament and tied for 43rd overall. Sophomore Trey Wren (73-80-76, 229) and freshman Marty McGuckin (78-77-76, 229) were seven shots back and tied for 794th. Junior Mark Farley (77-75-78, 230) and Reisner (80-76-74, 230) rounded out the Temple quintet tied for 78th.
Tennessee won the tournament (850), edging Penn State by one stroke (851). Eastern Kentucky (857) placed third followed by Louisville (861), Sam Houston State (864), Radford (878), Marshall (879), Winthrop and Loyola-Md. (880), Old Dominion (886), William and Mary (893), Drake (899), Temple (902), Delaware (905), High Point (909), Youngstown State (914), Binghamton (918), St. Bonaventure (920), Fort Wayne (921), St. Francis-Pa. (922), Towson (926) and Xavier (928).
Marshall's Clark Robinson and the Penn State duo of Cole Miller and Ryan Domes tied for medalist honors with one-under 209 scores.
Temple is back in action this Friday through Sunday at the Furman Intercollegiate.
