GREENVILLE, S.C. – Redshirt sophomore John Barone shot a four-under 68 and sophomore Trey Wren carded a three-under 69 to lead Temple Golf to an even-par final round on the final day of play at the Furman Intercollegiate Sunday.  The Owls moved up two spots to finish 19th overall in the tournament held at the 7,004-yard, par-72 Furman University Golf Course.

Wren, who improved each round, shot an even-par 216 for the tournament to tie for 27th overall.  Barone, who struggled in his first two rounds (77-79), tied for 79th with an eight-over 224. Redshirt freshman Erik Reisner had his best round of the weekend, a two-over 74, to finish tied for 92nd with a 10-over 226.    Junior Mark Farley and freshman Marty McGuckin each shot 77s on the final day, placing 105th and 119th, respectively.

Clemson easily won the tournament, besting second place South Carolina-Aiken by 14 strokes.  The Tigers' Carson Young won medalist honors, edging Andrew Novak (Wofford) and Wes Gosselin (Chattanooga) by one stroke with an 11-under, 205.
