Men's Crew Races at Bergen Cup City Championships

In the varsity eight race for the Bergen Cup, it was Temple in third place in a close race. St. Joe's came out on top with a time of 5:39.9, while Drexel (6:40.1) took second and the Owls (5:45.3), third. Villanova and La Salle rounded out the field.Â
The Owls also grabbed second in the 2V race, just off the pace of SJU. The Hawks won it in 5:48.2, with Temple on their tails, 5:50.5, outpacing Drexel (5:51.2) and Villanova (6:36.6).Â
Temple grabbed gold in the varsity four, tallying a time of 6:33.7 to top Villanova, and a pair of Drexel boats. In third varsity action, the Owls grabbed third in 6:08.71.
In freshmen racing, the Owls' eight took second in 5:52.6, just off of Drexel's 5:56.0, but ahead of SJU's 6:10.9.Â
The Temple freshmen four won their race in a field of five, recording a time of 6:50.8, holding off second-place SJU (6:54.8), as well as Villanova, La Salle, and Drexel.
The Owls are back in action at the famed Dad Vail Regatta on May 12 and 13.Highlights | Results
