Volleyball Adds Averi Salvador for 2017 Season
4.28.17 | Women's Volleyball
PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple volleyball team has announced the addition of Averi Salvador to the Owls' roster, beginning with the 2017 season. Salvador joins an already talented recruiting class that includes Baleigh Jean-Phillipe and Katerina Papazoglou.
Salvador is a 5-5 defensive specialist/libero hailing from Aiea, Hawaii. An All-State honorable mention selection, she helped lead Punahou School to a state title in 2015. As a club player, she played with both 'Imi' ike Volleyball and Ka Ulukoa Volleyball. Salvador, who also runs track, says she chose to attend Temple because of the coaching staff and the business school.Â
The Owls are coming off a 22-8 season in 2016, including a 15-5 record in conference play. Temple volleyball will kick off the 2017 season in late August.
