Men's Crew Set for Dad Vail Regatta

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple men's crew team will compete in the 79th annual Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuylkill River on Friday and Saturday. The largest collegiate regatta in the nation, the event features nearly 3,700 competitors from over 120 colleges and universities.Â
Action opens up with time trials on Friday morning with semifinals on Friday afternoon. Last year, Temple grabbed a bronze medal in the varsity eight event last year. Overall, the Owls have won the premiere race a record 20 times, including a stretch of 13 straight wins from 1989 to 2001.

The Dad Vail Regatta Organizing Committee is monitoring the weather for potential heavy rain and high winds during the regatta that could impact Friday and Saturday's racing schedule.
