Fencing Ranked No. 7 in First CF360 Coaches Poll of 2018

PHILADELPHIA - Moving up one spot so far from the end of last year, Temple fencing is ranked #7 in the first College Fencing 360 Coaches Poll of the 2017-18 season. The Owls were tied for eighth in the final poll of 2016-17.

Notre Dame takes the top spot, followed by Columbia, a team the Owls will face at this weekend's Philadelphia Invitational at Penn. Coming in at #3 is Penn State, followed by Princeton, Ohio State and Harvard. Behind Temple is #8 Northwestern, another of this weekend's opponents, alongg with Penn and St. John's.

During the 2016-17 season, after beating #1 and previously undefeated Princeton, Temple reached its highest-ever ranking of sixth. 

Temple will be facing a total of 10 teams at this weekend's meet - six on Saturday and four more on Sunday.
