WBB's Tanaya Atkinson Named UA Student-Athlete of the Month

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple women's basketball player Tanaya Atkinson was named the Under Armour/OwlSports.com Student-Athlete of the month for December.
Atkinson averaged 23.0 points, 11.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists for the Owls in December, leading the Owls in all three categories. The senior shot 45.9% (39-85) from the field, 40% (4-10) from three, and 82.5% (33-40) from the line. Atkinson finished the month ranked first in the nation in made and attempted free throws, fourth in scoring, and 12th in rebounding.
Temple is 8-5 overall and will be back in action on Sunday, hosting SMU at 12:00 p.m. on ESPNU.
