Women’s Soccer Hosts No. 22 Memphis for Senior Day Sunday

PHILADELPHIA— Temple women's soccer (7-8-1, 3-3-1 AAC) will celebrate Senior Day as it hosts No. 22 Memphis (13-3, 5-2 AAC) on Sunday. The Owls will face the Tigers at 1 p.m. at the Temple Sports Complex.
Promotions
> Girl Scout Day: Girl Scouts troops are invited to watch the women's soccer team in action. The troops will participate in the pre-game lineups and a post-game autograph session.
> Youth Soccer Day: Youth teams are invited to cheer on the Owls! They will participate in halftime scrimmages and a post-game autograph session.
The Owls
> Temple looks to improve upon their 4-3 record at the TSC. This match is Senior Day and marks the second of the three home games for the Owls as they wrap up regular season play.
> Sophomore midfielder Emma Wilkins has been a strong offensive presence for the Owls. She has netted a team-leading six goals, which is good for 12 points on the season. Gabriela Johnson has been key on the attacking end as well, tallying five goals and one assist for 11 points.
> Junior forward Morgan Morocco leads the Owls in assists, contributing to two goals on the season. Six Owls are tied in this category, with Marissa DiGenova, Natalie Druehl, Hailey Gutowski, Emily Keitel, Johnson and Kerri McGinley notching one assist apiece.
> Junior goalkeeper Morgan Basileo has been a mainstay between the posts for the Owls, logging 1334 minutes on the season. Basileo has compiled a goals against average of 1.15 and a 0.838 save percentage through 16 matches. She has also earned a win in all six of Temple's shutouts this year.
> Last time out, Temple defeated the Tulsa 1-0. Druehl netted the only goal of the contest in the 10th minute. Sarah McGlinn brought the ball up the left flank and found Gabriela Johnson in the box. Johnson found Druehl well-positioned at the top of the box, who struck the ball and rocketed it into the goal. This marked Druehl's first career goal for the Cherry and White and was the game-winner.
