Toy Drive to Benefit Toys for Tots
PHILADELPHIA --Â The Temple women's basketball team returns home to the friendly confines of McGonigle Hall for the first time since the season-opener, taking on visiting Iona at 7:00 p.m.
PROMOTIONS
> Toy Drive: Help Temple Athletics and donate a new unwrapped toy in the ticket office lobby. Anyone that donates a toy on the day of the game will receive $5 off their ticket purchase. One ticket offer per person. All toys will be donated to Toys for Tots during the holiday season.
> Greek Night: All Temple Fraternities and Sororities are invited to Temple Athletics! Let's see your craziest face painting, signs and school spirit!

THE OWLS
> After starting the season 2-0, Temple has lost five-straight games, but have played well in two recent losses to nationally-ranked opponents (#24/22 Miami and #16/14 DePaul).
> Sophomore Mia Davis leads Temple on both ends of the floor, averaging 20.1 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, also shooting a team-high 64.7% (11-17 from three point range).Â
> Graduate student Alliya Butts is second on the team in scoring, with 16.3 points per game, while leading the Owls with averages of 3.7 assists and 2.9 steals per outing.
> Sophomores Desiree Oliver (6.6 ppg) and Emani Mayo (5.6 ppg) also pace the Temple offense.
> Freshman Marissa Mackins (4.5 ppg) and junior Shannen Atkinson (3.9 ppg, 5.6 rpg) round out the season box score.
> As a team, the Owls are shooting 38.6% from the field and 29.6% from long range.

> #16/14 DePaul made 18 threes to power the Blue Demons to a 102-88 win over the Templein a high scoring matinee on Monday in Chicago.Â
> Temple shot a season-high 50.8% from the field, but 18 DePaul threes made the difference.
> The Owls found themselves trailing by over 20 points early in the first half, before battling back to a single-digit deficit with five minutes remaining in the game.
