PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's basketball team will make the program's first ever trip to Wichita State on Wednesday, playing the Shockers at 8:00 p.m. EST. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3.

SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Temple is 10-14 overall, with a 2-9 record in American Athletic Conference play.
> Temple is led by senior Tanaya Atkinson, who averages team-best totals of 22.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game with 65 total assists.
> Freshman Mia Davis is second on the team with 11.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per outing. 
> Rookie Emani Mayo averages 8.5 points per game to rank third, and has scored in double-digits in three out of the last four games.
> Freshman Desiree Oliver adds 7.1 points and 2.7 assists per game.
> As a team, Temple shoots 38.4% from the field and 30.0% from three.
> The Owls have slightly out-rebounded opponents, but have a negative turnover margin (-2.0).

LAST TIME OUT
> Temple made a late push, but couldn't overcome a slow offensive start, as the Owls fell 64-57 at the hands of visiting UCF on Saturday. 
> Temple put up a solid first half defensive effort, but shot only 18.5% (5-27) in the first 20 minutes of play.
> After being held to just 30 points in the first three quarters combined, the Owls made a late push, scoring 27 points in the final frame, but UCF held on for the win.
> Tanaya Atkinson finished with a team-high 17 points, eight of which came in the fourth quarter.
> Emani Mayo tallied 13 points with a pair of assists.
> Mia Davis was just shy of a double-double with nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

SCOUTING WICHITA STATE
> Wichita State is 10-16 overall, with a 5-7 mark in conference play.
> The Shockers had won five straight American games to move to 5-3, but have lost four straight since that point.
> Wichita State is led by forward Rangie Bessard who leads the team with 19.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
> Diamond Lockhart adds 10.1 points per game with team-highs of 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
> Angiee Tompkins contributes 9.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
> Sabrina Lzada-Cabbage adds 6.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, with a team-high 36 blocks.
> Keke Thompson rounds out the top scoreres with 6.0 points per game.
> As a team, WSU shoots 42.8% from the field, but just 24.8% from three.
> The Shockers out-rebound opponents by an average of 3.3 boards per game.

> UConn shot 71% and had five players in double-figures to lead the #1 Huskies to a 124-43 win over Wichita State Saturday afternoon.
> The 124 points are the most points allowed in Wichita State school history.
