PHILADELPHIA - Temple lacrosse is looking to get back in the win column and will have to do so on the road, as the Owls (7-6, 2-3) travel to Butler for a BIG EAST game at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 14. The game was originally scheduled for noon but has been moved up due to the threat of thunderstorms. The Bulldogs, a second-year program, are 1-12 overall and winless in conference play at 0-5.
Scouting Temple
> Temple had won four straight before suffering three straight losses, most recently falling 16-7 at home to UConn on April 7.
> The offense has struggled over the losing streak, scoring just four goals at Marquette, three at Florida and seven vs. UConn.
> Temple's schedule has been home-heavy in 2018, but the last four games will see the Owls home twice and on the road twice.
> Each of Temple's two BIG EAST wins have been one-goal decisions. The Owls upset #22/16 Denver 10-9 on March 18, and followed it up with a 9-8 double overtime win vs. Cincinnati on March 24. Sophomore midfielder Maddie Gebert scored two goals including the clutch game-winner just over one minute into the second overtime period.
> Sophomore goalkeeper Maryn Lowell made her 12th save vs. Denver with 20 seconds left to keep Temple in the lead, and made eight more saves in the Cincinnati win including one in the first overtime.
