PHILADELPHIA – Temple fencing's Malia Hee has been named to the 2017-18 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area At-Large Team. The sophomore is one of 12 student-athletes selected to the team, which is voted on by the sports information offices of 30 area institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Joining Hee on the team is Temple gymnast Daisy Todd.
Hee, an advertising major with a 4.0 GPA, recently earned the ELITE 90 Award at the 2018 NCAA Fencing Championships, given to just one athlete with the highest GPA at each of the NCAA's 90 championships across all divisions.
