Volleyball Holds Successful Alumni Tournament

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple volleyball team hosted its annual alumni event on Saturday, as 19 former Owls returned to McGonigle Hall. Also at the event, the team unveiled the 2017 National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) Postseason banner, that will hang in McGonigle Hall from now on.
ALUMNAE EVENT
> Temple welcomed back 19 former student-athletes to the event, including: Jovana Radojevic, Kayla Yingling, Alex Schmitt, Chelsea Tupuola, Alyssa Drachslin, Caitlin McMillen, Caroline Grattan, Sandra Sydlik, Dara Peric, Kyra Coundourides, Janine Simmons, Izzy Rapacz, Tiffany Connaster, Emily Carlin, Jennifer Iacobini, Halle McCullough, Yamit Haba, Akiko Hatakeyama, and Christine Happel.
> The current Owls and the former Owls also got to play a scrimmage against each other.
BANNER UNVEILED
> Temple's NIVC banner was officially unveiled at the event.
> The 2017 Owls earned a postseason bid for the first time since the 2002 season, advancing to the round of 16 in the NIVC.
LOOKING FORWARD
> Temple's 2018 schedule will be released on owlsports.com in early May.
