Men's Crew Sweeps Races Against Lehigh, Georgetown

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple men's crew team swept a pair of races against Lehigh University, competing on the Schuylkill on Saturday. Temple's lightweights also won, racing #9 Georgetown in Washington, D.C.

VARSITY EIGHT
> Temple finished first and third in a the three-boat varsity eight field.
> The Owls' "A" crew won the race in 5:45.3, while Lehigh clocked in at 5:53.84.
> Temple's "B" boat took third in 6:05.0.

SECOND VARSITY EIGHT
> In the second varsity race, the Owls finished 1-2.
> Temple's "A" boat took first in 5:59.48, followed by the "B" boat in 6:05.37.
> Lehigh finished third in 6:10.38.

LIGHTWEIGHTS
> The Owls' lightweight eight was in action at #9 Georgetown.
> In a close race, Temple came out on top, defeating the Hoya's 5:48.8 to 5:49.6.
