Track & Field to Compete at Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational

PHILADELPHIA – Coming off a weekend full of personal best marks and a new school record, Temple track and field is set to compete at the Sam Howell Invitational. Hosted at Princeton on Friday, April 6, the meet will feature teams throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Last Time Out
> On March 31 at the Ole Miss Classic, freshman Lucy Jones broke the program's 3000-meter steeplechase record with a time of 10.40.43 to snag first place.
> Sophomore Millie Howard placed second overall in the 1500-meter race with a NCAA regional qualifying time of 4:21.02.
> Sophomore Ebonee Jackson ran Temple's fastest time in in the 100-meter dash since 2014 with a 12.05.
Scouting the Owls
> Junior Katie Leisher is slated for the 5000-meter race this weekend. Leisher holds he school record in the event set in 2017 with a 17:06.09.
> Temple earned its highest American Indoor finish since joining the conference at the 2018 American Indoor Championships, placing sixth out of the 12 women's teams on Feb. 24.
