Seiger Named AAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week

PHILADELPHIA -- Junior Zach Seiger was named Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week by the American Athletic Conference after spearheading the Owls to their second straight victory of the 2018 season. Seiger dominated the 7,600-meter course at Bowdoin Park, individually winning the Army West Point Open with a time of 23:51.6 and helping Temple place first out of six teams.

The Lewisberry, Pa. native notched the first conference accolades of the season for the Owls after leading a Temple trio that swept the top three positions at the competitive Army West Point Open last Friday. The Owls finished five athletes in the top ten, boosting them to a team victory, including a win over a talented Army West Point squad that has received votes from the USTFCCCA this season.
