Women's Basketball Heads to Houston on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's basketball team hits the road for the first time since beginning conference play, traveling to Houston on Saturday. The Owls and Cougars play at 3:00 p.m. EST (2:00 p.m. CST).
THE OWLS
> Temple is 4-10 overall, 3-2 at home and 1-8 away from McGonigle Hall.
> The Owls have posted back-to-back close losses to open conference play, most recently falling 66-57 to Tulane on Tuesday.
> Sophomore Mia Davis leads Temple on both ends of the floor, averaging 18.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.
> Graduate student Alliya Butts is second on the team in scoring, with 14.5 points per game, while leading the Owls with averages of 4.4 assists and 2.4 steals per outing.
> Freshman Marissa Mackins has emerged as Temple's third scorer, averaging 7.7 points per game and is second on the team with 30 assists.
