Women's Basketball Looks for Second-Straight AAC Win at Tulsa on Tuesday

PHILADELPHIA --Â The Temple women's basketball team continues American Athletic Conference play at Tulsa on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. EST on the American Digital Network.
THE OWLS
> Temple is 5-14 overall, 4-3 at home and 1-11 away from McGonigle Hall.
> The Owls broke a string of seven straight losses with a home win on Saturday, topping East Carolina, 84-62.
> Sophomore Mia Davis leads Temple on both ends of the floor, averaging 17.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
> Graduate student Alliya Butts is second on the team in scoring, with 14.4 points per game, while leading the Owls with averages of 4.4 assists and 2.2 steals per outing.
> Freshman Marissa Mackins, who recently scored a career-high 19 points at Penn, averages 7.1 points per game and is second on the Owls with 40 assists.
> Sophomore Desiree Oliver adds 6.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.

> Alliya Butts and Mia Davis combined for 48 points to lead Temple to an 84-62 win over visiting ECU Saturday at McGonigle Hall.
> Temple's defense held ECU to 30.6 percent (22-72) shooting from the field and just 2-of-15 (13.3%) from long range.
> The Owls broke the game open in the third quarter, using a 12-4 run over a three-minute stretch to extend their advantage to 19 points (57-38). ECU would get no closer than 15 the remainder of the contest.
