Field Hockey to Open Four-Game Road Stretch

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple field hockey team will open a four-game road stretch this weekend, traveling to Georgetown and Lafayette. The Owls are looking to bounce back and break their three-game losing streak, as well as earn their first conference win since October 2016.
Scouting Temple
> Temple is on a three game losing streak, with the team's last win coming against Drexel last month.
> The team is 0-3 in Big East play, having yet to score a goal this season against conference opponents. The last time Temple won a conference contest was in October 2016, with a 3-2 victory over Quinnipiac. Despite the team's loss to No. 3 UConn last weekend, Temple was able to cut the goal-deficit seen in last year's matchup by two.
> Junior Dani Batze leads the team in goals with three, while Claire Thomas and Kerrie Lorenz ranking second with two goals apiece. Both Batze and Thomas have scored two game-winners for the Owls.
> The Owls have conceded just 17 goals this season, facing 123 shots for an opponent shot percentage of 0.138.

> Georgetown is 5-7 (0-4 Big East) on the season, and will enter the weekend on a four-game losing streak.
