PHILADELPHIA -- Temple women's basketball head coach Tonya Cardoza has announced the hiring of Jazmin Horne as the Director of Women's Basketball Operations. Horne is no stranger to the Philadelphia basketball scene, as she was a two-year player for nearby St. Joseph's University.Ā
"I am thrilled to have Jazmin join our staff here at Temple," commented Cardoza. "She demonstrates a strong work ethic and passion about the game that I know she will bring into this new role. She is a great addition to our Owls family."
A native of Seattle, Washington, Horne served as the Facilities Administrator for Qumolo, Inc., where she organized and coordinated travel logistics for multiple groups, managed expense reports and oversaw facility budgets. During this time, Horne also worked for BAR Digital in Sports Marketing and Community Relations.Ā Ā
"I want to thank Coach Cardoza for this incredible opportunity to be apart of her staff," expressed Horne. "It is truly a blessing and I am extremely excited to be back in the great city of Philadelphia and learning from one of the best."
After graduating from St. Joseph's in 2017, Horne worked with the women's basketball program at Bellevue College as an assistant coach for one season. During her short time at Bellevue, Horne assisted in leading the Bulldogs to the Northwest Athletic Conference Final Four. Her other duties included scouting and recruiting potential players for the following season, scouting opposing teams before contests and creating content for various social media platforms.Ā
