Temple Men's Crew Grabs Two Medals in Five Races at the Head of the Schuylkill

PHILADELPHIA — The Temple men's crew team raced at the 2019 Head of the Schuylkill Regatta, coming away with a pair of medals with top 10 performances from all five boats that raced.
Freshman Eight
> Temple's rookies won bragging rights with a gold medal performance in the freshman eight event.
> The Owls' "A" boat compiled a gold-medal time of 12:35.863 to out-pace 17 crews.
> Temple's "B" boat also had a strong showing, taking seventh in a time of 14:03.471.
Championship Eights
> Temple had a pair of lightweight boats enter the heavyweight championship eight event coming away with a bronze medal and a sixth place finish.
> The Owls' "A" boat finished in 12:42.511 to get on the podium, while the "B" boat was sixth in 12:55.445.
Fours
> Temple's varsity four boat wrapped up a solid day of racing with a sixth place finish.
> The Owls clocked in at 13:56.661 to finish as the fourth highest collegiate crew in the race.
