Palm Harbor, Fla. – Temple Golf looked a little rusty after a two-week layoff, placing 15th of 16 teams in the highly-competitive field at The Intercollegiate at Innisbrook Monday.
Recapping the Day
> Junior Dawson Anders had the best day for an Owl. The team captain shot a seven-over 149 over his 36 holes to tie for 53rd overall.
>Senior Liam McGrath and freshman Graham Chase each shot 10-over 152s to tie 67th overall. Chase had the best single round by any Temple golfer, carding a two-over 73 in the afternoon round.
> Sophomore Conor McGrath was one shot back (153) and tied for 74th while freshman Danny Nguyen rounded out the Owls five with a 12-over 154 (tie-78th).
> Playing as an individual, senior Aaron Tobin shot a 161 (+19) to place 90th.
The Field
> Campbell and James Madison are atop the leaderboard with six-under 562s. American Athletic Conference member Memphis was three shots back at 565 while another AAC squad, USF, two shots back (567) in fourth.
> Maryland's Peter Knable leads the field with a nine-under 133, two shots ahead of his nearest competitor.
