Salvador Lands Spot on American Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple junior Averi Salvador landed a spot on the most recently American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll after stellar performances in the Owls' last two matches. This is her second conference recognition of the 2019 season.
Salvador led Temple's stout defense in a 1-1 week. Entering the weekend averaging 4.75 digs per set, she had a massive two matches where she upped that to 6.50 digs per frame. She had 23 total digs in three sets against Tulsa and then followed it up with 16 in a sweep of Wichita State, leading all players in both matches played. The libero also had two kills in two attempts while dishing out five assists. Salvador was perfect on serve-receive for the weekend, receiving 18 total serves without an error.
Temple is back in action on Friday, playing at league-leading Cincinnati at 7:00 p.m.
