Field Hockey to Close Out Regular Season

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple field hockey team (6-8, 2-4 Big East) will close out the regular season this weekend, traveling to it's final Big East matchup at Quinnipiac before hosting LIU Brooklyn on Senior Day. Seven seniors will be honored prior to the start of Sunday's game for their final game in cherry and white.
Scouting Temple
> Temple went 1-1 last weekend, earning it's second Big East win of the season with a 3-0 shut out of Villanova at home.
> Despite the loss to No. 18 Rutgers, the Owls held their own against a nationally ranked opponent. The defense put up a stout performance, holing Rutgers scoreless until the fourth quarter.
> Goalkeeper Cristina Carotenuto recorded 13 saves against the Scarlett Knights, setting a career-high in saves and allowing just one goal in two games. The junior earned a Big East Weekly Honor Roll nod for her performance in the cage.Â

> Quinnipiac is 4-13 (1-5 Big East) heading into the weekend and is riding a one-game winning streak. The team is 3-5 at home.
> The Bobcats will host the Owls for their final game of the season and will host the conference tournament in November.
