Men’s Cross Country to Race in Paul Short Run

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple University men's cross country team will race at the 46th annual Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday, Oct. 5. The 8K race will begin at 11 a.m. at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.
About the Paul Short Run
> The Owls will be one of 140 men's cross country programs across all three divisions competing in Saturday's race.
> The 46th annual Paul Short Run will be held at at Lehigh University's Goodman Campus Cross Country Course in Bethlehem, Pa. The men's 8K race is slated for an 11 a.m. start.
> Temple will be facing tough competition, including the two-time reigning champion of the Paul Short Run, Utah State.

> "This is going to be a great opportunity to see a few of our younger guys get out and compete," stated head coach James Snyder. "Sean, Quinn, Luke and Ethan have been fully invested in our training these past 5+ months and it'll be exciting for them to see their progression. One of our juniors, Anton Harrsen, will be running his debut race of the season as well."
Last Time Out
> Temple finished third overall at the 25th annual Iona Meet of Champions on Sept. 20th in the Bronx, N.Y. Senior Zach Seiger was the first Owl to cross the finish line with a time of 25:07.8, earning eighth overall in the 8K.
> UNC Charlotte edged the Owls to grab second place in the meet. The 49ers saw three runners earn a top-10 finish.
> Harry Powell ran his best race in the Cherry and White uniform with his time of 25:17.1 to secure 13th overall. The redshirt-senior was followed closely by Kristian Jensen's 14th place finish (25:24.9) and Kevin Lapsansky's 15th place effort (25:27.4).
> David Westcott and Tom O'Keeffe rounded out the Temple top-five with respective times of 25.43.5 and 25:56.9.
