Men’s Cross Country Competes in Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa.—The Temple men's cross country team raced in the 46th annual Paul Short Run Saturday morning at Lehigh University. The Owls finished 39th out of 45 teams in the men's Gold 8K.

About the Paul Short Run
> Temple raced alongside programs from Division I, II and III schools. 
> Utah State earned first place and were named champions of the Paul Short Run for the third year in a row. 
> Penn finished second in the annual run, while Adams State (Division II), Stony Brook and Minnesota rounded out the top five. 

Race Notes

> In his season debut, Anton Harrsen was the first in the Cherry and White to cross the finish line with a time of 24:38.2. The Denmark native finished 113 out of 389 runners. 
> Sophomore Ethan Koza followed Harrsen as he raced to a 24:59.4 finish, earning at spot at 174th.
> Closing out the top three for the Owls was senior Donovan Mears, who finished 224th with his mark of 25:16.9.
> Freshman Luke Klingenberg ended the race at 25:50.0 to finish at 303rd.

From the Coach
> "The meet was solid. Good races from Anton in his debut and it was nice to see Luke competing well in his second 8K," commented head coach James Snyder. "It'll be fun to get the whole crew together at Penn State in two weeks for our last tune up before the conference championships!"
