Four Earn All-Region as Men's Cross Country Records Program's Best Regional Finish

BETHLEHEM, Pa.—The Temple men's cross country team finished fourth for the program's best ever finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Friday afternoon at Lehigh University. Four runners finished in the top 25 to earn All-Region honors.
About the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional
> Temple finished fourth out of 25 teams to record the program's best regional finish.
> Villanova took the trophy as the Wildcats registered 37 points to win the race.
> Georgetown took second place while Princeton took third and Penn finished in fifth.
> Camren Fischer of Princeton was the NCAA Mid-Atlantic individual champion with his time of 29:58.8 to finish three seconds ahead of the runner up Jake Brophy of Navy.
Race Notes
> Kristian Jensen led the Owls with his time of 30:37.10 to finish 14th overall.
> Harry Powell was the second in the Cherry and White to cross the finish line, clocking in at 30:40.8 and earning the 17th spot.
> Senior Zach Seiger finished 19th in the race with a time of 30:44.7, followed by classmate Kevin Lapsansky at 30:46.1 for 22nd overall.
> Anton Harrsen rounded out the top five for Temple with his 28th overall finish at 30:58.7.

> "We ran the race we talked about running," commented head coach James Snyder. "We progressed really well in the field throughout the entire of the race and it just wasn't enough juice for us to get where we wanted to be."
> "I know the guys are disappointed and it certainly isn't the way you want to feel leaving a meet like this but I'm incredibly proud of the effort they put in. To hang 100 points on the region like we did today is something really special.
> "Having four finish All-Region is a first for this program, so this is by far the best team that we have ever had and this has also been the most joy I have had coaching a group of people."
