Calderaro, Park, and Turner to Fence at North American Cup

PHILADELPHIA - Following a successful start to the 2019-20 season at the Temple Open, the Owls will send three fencers to the November North American Cup. Freshmen Margherita Calderaro, Sarah Park, and Zoe Turner will all continue individual competition this weekend in Milwaukee.
Calderaro and Park will be the first Owls to compete at the NAC, with epee competition set for Nov. 8. Both Owls had an impressive debut at the Temple Open, earning top 15 finishes in their first collegiate meet. Calderaro tied for an 11th place finish while Park finished in 15th place.
Turner will compete the following day, rounding out the competition for the Owls. Turner also had a top 15 finish in her first competition at Temple, finishing in 13th place.
Epee competition is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m., while sabre competition will begin at 2 p.m.
