Fencing Concludes November NAC Competition

MILWAUKEE - Freshman fencer Zoe Turner concluded competition at the the November NAC Saturday night, the final of three Owls to compete.
In pool play, Turner lost just one bout in a close 5-4 decision. In direct elimination, she earned a first round bye before defeating Zoe Beal in a close 15-14 bout.
The Portland, Ore., native fell in the round of 64 to Alexis Anglade 15-10. Turner finished in 47th place out of 214 competitors.
"It was a good weekend for our freshmen," head coach Nikki Franke said. "To compete against the top U20 fencers in the country is an extremely valuable experience and will definitely help them during the collegiate season."
The Owls will return to Philadelphia next weekend, opening team play at the Elite Meet hosted by Penn.Â
