Butts Earns Spot on American Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple graduate Alliya Butts earned a spot on the American Weekly Honor Roll for her play last week. This is the third time this season that she's been honored by the conference.
Butts tallied 23 points with 11 coming in the fourth quarter of 78-70 win over Cincinnati in Temple's only action of the week. With the game tied early in the fourth quarter, Butts scored six points to key a 12-0 Owls' run that sealed the win. The guard also added game highs of four assists and three steals, as Temple avenged a 20-point loss to Cincinnati just 29 days prior.
For the season, Butts averages 15.7 points per game and team-best totals of 4.6 assists and 2.0 steals per outing.
