Bracket Announced for 2019 AAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Florida captured the inaugural regular season title and will be the top overall seed for this week's 2019 American Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship. The four-team, single-elimination tournament will be held at the Sheakley Athletics Center at the University of Cincinnati, with the semifinals set for Thursday, May 2 and the championship for Saturday, May 4.
The Gators (11-6, 5-0 American), who currently ranked No. 18 in both the IWLCA and Inside Lacrosse polls, defeated Cincinnati 26-5 on Saturday to close out an unblemished 5-0 record in conference play. The host Bearcats (11-6, 4-1 American) will be the championship's No. 2 seed after posting the best regular-season conference slate in program history.
Temple (6-10, 3-2 American) defeated Vanderbilt 11-6 to close the regular season on Saturday, earning the No. 3 seed as a result. The Commodores (10-5, 2-3 American) wrap up the inaugural tournament field as the No. 4 seed.
Florida and Vanderbilt will open the 2019 Championship at 4:30 p.m. ET on Thursday in the first semifinal, followed 45 minutes later by Cincinnati and Temple in the second semifinal. Thursday's winners will square off Saturday at 1 p.m. ET in the title game. The winner of the 2019 American Championship will earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship.
