PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple men's crew team will compete in the 81st racing of the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta this weekend on the Schuylkill River. The Owls will race on both Friday and Saturday, starting with time trials for some boats on Friday morning.

Defending Champions
> Last season's Dad Vail was a return to glory for the Owls. Temple sweep the heavyweight eight, junior varsity eight, and freshman eight events, while grabbing bronze in the lightweight eight.
> Temple went on to compete at both the IRA Championships and the 2018 Henley Royal Regatta.

> The Owls will race in seven events this weekend, fielding five eights and two fours.
> On the heavyweight side, Temple will compete in the varsity eight, second varsity eight, freshman eight, third varsity eight, and freshman four events.
> The Owls will race a pair of lightweight boats, competing in the lightweight eight and lightweight four events.
