Cassie Hageman Joins Gymnastics Staff as Graduate Assistant

PHILADELPHIA—After a four-year career as a student-athlete at West Chester University, Cassie Hageman joined the Temple gymnastics staff as a graduate assistant coach in August 2019. 

"I am pleased to announce that Cassie Hageman has agreed to join the staff as the new Graduate Assistant Coach," said head coach Josh Nilson. "Cassie stood out to me from the beginning of the hiring process. She is extremely organized, hardworking and intelligent.  She will be a great asset in the gym, and in the office."

Hageman amassed numerous accolades as a Golden Ram. In each of the four years of her collegiate career, she won the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Academic Achievement Award, was named to the ECAC All-Academic Team and was named an USAG Scholastic All-American. As a sophomore, junior and senior, the Carlisle, Pa. native qualified for the USAG Collegiate Nationals. She also earned the Michael Horrock Distinguished Leader award.

While at West Chester, Hageman served as a representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and participated in several leadership conferences. She gained experience gained experience mentoring young gymnasts as a coach at Roth's Crosspoint Gymnastics and at West Chester's summer gymnastics camps.

Hageman graduated from West Chester Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Liberal Studies- Professional Studies and minors in exercise science and business law in May 2019.
