Temple Athletics Introduces Hilton Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing as Title Sponsor for Upcoming Cherry & White Challenge Volleyball Tournament

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple volleyball team announced today it will host the 2019 "Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing Cherry & White Challenge" September 13-14 at McGonigle Hall. Temple Athletics and its multimedia rightsholder, Temple Sports Properties, introduces Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing as title sponsor for the two-day weekend event that features the Owls and teams from Radford University, Columbia University, and Leigh University. 
Tournament Schedule:
Friday, September 13
6:30 p.m. – Temple vs. Radford
Saturday, September 14
11 a.m. – Temple vs. Columbia
1:30 p.m. – Radford vs. Lehigh
4 p.m. – Columbia vs. Radford
7 p.m. – Temple vs. Lehigh
"We're thrilled to have Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing as the title sponsor for what is sure to be an exciting weekend of volleyball," said head coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam. "We're thankful for the support they give to not only Temple Volleyball, but the entire athletics department. The team is looking forward to playing in the Cherry & White Challenge on their home court."
As the official title sponsor of the volleyball tournament, Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing will receive prominent exposure all weekend. The "Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing Cherry & White Challenge" custom co-branded logo will be featured on McGonigle Hall video boards as well as on banners hung around McGonigle Hall throughout the duration of the tournament. The logo also will be on all tournament T-shirts, trophies and awards. Representatives from Hilton Penn's Landing will have the opportunity to present and help distribute awards and trophies at the conclusion of the tournament.

This team secured the sponsorship with Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing on behalf of Temple Athletics. "Temple Sports Properties mission is to showcase our corporate partners in ways that meet their marketing objectives while enhancing the association of brand awareness alongside Temple Athletics," said Temple Sports Properties General Manager Nicolaus Valentino.
