Lindgren Earns American Weekly Honor Roll Nod

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple volleyball sophomore Tyler Lindgren earned recognition on this week's American Athletic Conference awards, with a spot on the Honor Roll, after leading the Owls to three wins over the weekend.

Tyler Lindgren won MVP honors as the Owls swept through the 2019 Cherry and White Challenge, giving Temple a 9-0 start to the season -- its best ever. Over the weekend, Lindgren ran the Owls' offense to 3-0 wins over Radford, Columbia, and Lehigh, with her hitters attacking at a .257 clip. She dished out 11.33 assists per set, adding 2.11 digs per frame, four kills, and three aces. Lindgren's distributions have led Temple to the best hitting percentage in the conference.

Lindgren and the Owls are back in action later this week, as Temple will participate in the Big 5 Challenge at Villanova. The Owls will take on the host Wildcats Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. and will play Princeton on Friday night, also at 7:00 p.m.
