Volleyball's Salvador Earns American Weekly Honor Roll Nod

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple volleyball junior Averi Salvador earned mention on this week's American Athletic Conference awards, getting an honor roll nod after leading the Owls to three wins over the weekend.Â
Salvador was named the MVP of the 2019 American Volleyball Classic, leading Temple to the team title with victories over Ohio, Winthrop, and American. The libero racked up 5.27 digs per set, recording match totals of 18, 20, and 20. Adding to her weekly resume, she recorded the first double-double of her career, with a career high 12 against American.Â
Salvador and the Owls are back in action this weekend, hosting the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing Cherry & White Challenge.
