Arnold Ebiketie Named AAC Defensive Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – The American Athletic Conference announced today that defensive end Arnold Ebiketie was named as the defensive player of the week in Temple's 39-37 win over USF. Ebiketie recorded the biggest play of the game when he scooped up a fumble and returned it 11 yards for an Owls touchdown with just under 10 minutes remaining. The touchdown would prove to be the game-winning score. In addition, Ebiketie forced a fumble earlier in the game to go along with 3.5 tackles for loss and six tackles.

On the other side of the ball, Randle Jones was named to the AAC week seven Honor Roll for his performance vs. USF. The graduate wide receiver recorded a career-high eight receptions which led to 81 yards and one touchdown. Seven of his eight catches went for first downs.
