Naomi Ross: It Would Mean A Lot to Compete in Tokyo
11.9.20 | Women's Fencing
PHILADELPHIA - Temple fencer Naomi Ross is among those designated as "elite" by the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee and other national governing bodies, a recognition that identifies potential U.S. Olympians in 2021. With this designation, Ross will be allowed to have travel expenses paid for, and will be able to spend more time working with coaches in preparation for the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
We sat down with Naomi to talk about what this designation means, training during COVID-19, her decision to be a Temple Owl, and what qualifying for Tokyo would mean to her.
