PHILADELPHIA — The Temple women's basketball team returns to McGonigle Hall for a 2 p.m. tipoff Saturday, Feb. 15 against Houston.

THE OWLS
> Temple enters Sunday's game at 13-10 overall and 5-5 in the American Athletic Conference. The Owls are currently ranked sixth in the conference.
> Junior Mia Davis leads Temple with 18.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Her boards per night ranks 16th in the country and first in the American.
> Davis totals 14 double-doubles on the season, totaling fourth-most in the nation.
> On Feb. 12, Davis was named a top 10 finalist of the Cheryl Miller Award Watch List, an honor given to the nation's top small forward each year.
> Redshirt sophomore Ashley Jones adds 16.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Jones leads the Cherry and White with her 80.7 free throw percentage.
> Marissa Mackins is the third Owl to average double-digit points with 14.1 per night. Mackins leads both Temple and the American with 67 three-pointers this season.
> Graduate student Lena Niang is the second leading rebounder for Temple with 5.9 boards per game. Niang nets 7.2 points per game and is the second leading three-point shooter for the Owls.
> Freshman Asonah Alexander is the American assists leader with 102 on the year, averaging 4.4 per game. Her assist/turnover ratio of 2.91 ranks first in the conference and seventh in the country. Alexander adds 5.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.

> The Owls suffered their worst loss of the season at USF on Sunday, Feb. 9.
> USF's Elena Tsineke and Sydni Harvey each collected 25 points to total more than half of the Bulls' points. Harvey shot 7-for-8 from three-point range as USF collected 13 threes on the day.
