Women’s Basketball Heads to Tulane for Regular Season Finale

PHILADELPHIA — The Temple women's basketball travels to New Orleans as they take on Tulane in their last game of the 2019-20 regular season Monday, Mar. 2 at 8 p.m.
THE OWLS
> Temple enters their final regular season game with a record of 15-13 (7-8 AAC). The Owls are currently ranked fifth in the American Athletic Conference.
> Junior Mia Davis leads Temple with 18.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Her boards per night leads the American.
> A Cheryl Miller Award top 10 finalist, Davis totals 17 double-doubles on the season to tie for fourth-most in the nation.
> Redshirt sophomore Ashley Jones adds 16.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.
> Marissa Mackins is the third Owl to average double-digit points with 12.9 per night. Mackins leads Temple and ranks second in the American with 71 three-pointers this season.
> Graduate student Lena Niang is the second leading rebounder for Temple with 5.4 boards per game. Niang nets 7.3 points per game.
> Rounding out the top-five scorers for Temple is sophomore Alexa Williamson, who adds 5.9 points per outing.
> Freshman Asonah Alexander is second in the American with 114 assists on the year, averaging 4.1 per game. Her assist/turnover ratio of 2.53 ranks first in the conference and 13th in the country.
LAST TIME OUT: Tulsa 68, Temple 64
> Tulsa held the Owls to 38.5% from the field and just 35% from three as the Golden Hurricane topped Temple 68-64 Feb. 29 at McGonigle Hall.
> Temple out rebounded Tulsa 41-33, but suffered from 19 turnovers in the game.
> Tulsa jumped out to an early lead going up by four after the first quarter.
> The Owls tied things up at the half, and then took a slim lead with a 19-17 edge in the third quarter.
> Tulsa finished out the game by outscoring the Owls 20-14 in the final frame.
