Owlsports.com caught up with Everett, as she finishes her final semester at Temple.

Temple Owls' JAYLENE EVERETT

In the book of your life, what’s the title of the Temple chapter?   In the book of my life, the title of the Temple chapter would be “My Second Family." I made relationships and memories throughout the four years that I will remember for a lifetime!

What’s the best part about being a member of the gymnastics team at Temple/what will you miss the most?   The best part about being a member of the gymnastics team at Temple was gaining 18 sisters throughout my journey that I made countless memories with. I will miss being able to travel with my second family and all of the experiences I got to encounter as an athlete.

What is your favorite memory of being a student-athlete at Temple?  My favorite memory of being a student-athlete at Temple was being part of the first Women’s Gymnastics Team that was ECAC Conference Champs in 2019, then being able to do it again back to back in the 2020 season.

If you could give advice to your freshman year self, what would it be?  Be patient - the best is yet to come.

Where do you see yourself in five years?  In 5 years I see myself graduating from medical school and starting my residency as an official osteopathic medicine doctor!

Everett
I would like to thank my coaches from both Temple and my hometown gym Spirit Gymnastics, my amazing teammates for the support, laughs, and memories, but most importantly my parents, for their endless support and attending every single one of my NCAA gymnastics competitions no matter how far we traveled. I love you both endlessly and appreciate all that you do for me.
