PHILADELPHIA - The No. 5 Temple fencing team will be well-represented at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional on Saturday, March 7, with the maximum 12 fencers competing for the Owls.
Representing the epee squad will be freshmen Margherita Calderaro and Sarah Park, sophomore Naomi Ross, junior Marielle Luke and redshirt senior Quinn Duwelius.
For the foil squad, sophomores Aryana Abtin and Cassie Navalta, junior Megan Ross, and senior Kennedy Lovelace will represent the Owls.
The sabre squad will see freshman Zoe Turner and seniors Kerry Plunkett and Malia Hee compete.
"I am very pleased that all of our fencers qualified for the NCAA Regional but unfortunately, every school is limited to just 12 entries," said head coach Dr. Nikki Franke. "It's been a great season and everyone has done well and contributed to our success this year."
The NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional is being hosted by Duke in Durham, N.C.
The Owls are coming off their 25TH straight NIWFA title this past weekend, where they earned seven All-NIWFA honors. Temple completed its dual meet season with a record of 31-9.
