UNCASVILLE, Conn. — Junior forward Mia Davis notched her 18th double-double of the season with a game-high 24 points and 12 rebounds as the eighth-seeded Temple women's basketball team knocked off #9 ECU in the first round of the American Athletic Conference Tournament.

> Temple dominated the first half, holding a 45-20 lead as they headed into the break.
> The Pirates then came out to outscore Temple 17-10 in the third quarter before cutting their deficit to as little as five points in the fourth quarter, but five foul shots and a layup down the stretch allowed the Owls to walk away with the win.

> Jones answered with a beautiful pass to Davis on the other end of the floor to put Temple up 19-15 heading into the second.

Second Quarter
