Golf to Compete in Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate

AIKEN, S.C. – Temple Golf will return to South Carolina for its second tournament of the spring season as the Owls take part in the 23rd Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate March 9-10. The event will take place at the Palmetto Golf Club on a par-70, 6,617-yard course. The 18-team tournament will consist of 36 holes on Monday and conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday. Both days will begin with shotgun starts.
Previewing the Owls
> Temple will utilize the following lineup: Sophomore Conor McGrath (73.68), junior Dawson Anders (74.32), freshman Graham Chase (74.84), senior Liam McGrath (76.05), and sophomore Anthony Barr (76.80).
> Freshman Danny Nguyen (76.81), who played all 16 rounds in the fall, is still out with a broken finger.
> Temple will be looking to improve upon its 10th place showing at last year's Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate.
The Field
> Virginia, which tied for second in 2019 tournament, leads the field of 15 teams at the event hosted by South Carolina-Aiken. The other teams in the field are Akron, Army West Point, Charleston Southern, Clemson, Francis Marion, Furman, Memphis, Presbyterian, Samford, VCU, Winthrop and Wofford.
> The Owls will tee off at 8:30 am Monday and are paired with Francis Marion and South Carolina-Aiken.
