Owlsports.com caught up with Todd, as she finishes her final semester at Temple.

In the book of your life, what’s the title of the Temple chapter?   In the book of my life, the title of the Temple chapter would be "Girls, Growth, & Greatness."

What’s the best part about being a member of the gymnastics team at Temple/what will you miss the most?   The best part about being a member of the gymnastics team is having a huge group of girls who support you and are behind you in everything you do, not just in the gym. The bond between teammates is something really special, and I think that bond will be really difficult to replicate outside of athletics. I’ll miss my teammates the most; we’re there for each other through our highest highs and lowest lows and I’m going to miss having the privilege to be surrounded by that strong of a support system everyday.

What is your favorite memory of being a student-athlete at Temple?  My favorite memory as a student-athlete at Temple was winning the conference championship as a team for the first time in Temple history my junior year. After two years of disappointing performances at conferences, we went into 2019’s championship making the decision to win, no doubts or hesitations. We counted a fall on bars, but regrouped as a team and reassured each other that it wasn’t over and we could, and would come back from it. We went on to beam and came back with a broken school beam record and a conference championship win. I cried happy tears for the first time in my life; it was an amazing moment that I will never forget.

If you could give advice to your freshman year self, what would it be?  If I could give advice to my freshman self, it would be to appreciate every single second of your four years as a Temple athlete and have as much fun as you possibly can. I came into college being very serious, focused, somewhat uptight. Although I’m still a very hardworking and dedicated person and always will be, as a Temple athlete I learned that having fun and competing for the love of the sport is really what matters.

Where do you see yourself in five years?  In five years, I see myself working at a hospital as a licensed physical therapist. I will be attending The University of Miami for the next 3 years to pursue my Doctorate of Physical Therapy. As of now, I hope to specialize in neurology and work with traumatic brain injury patients.

I would like to thank my parents for their love and support, my coaches for always believing in me and helping me reach my highest potential, my athletic trainers for keeping me in one piece, and my teammates for being the craziest and most wonderful group of girls I have ever met. I am so grateful to get the opportunity to finish out my eighteenth and final year of gymnastics along side such a fun, supportive, and loving group of people.
